Town of Bath officials will once again
make an Arbor Day proclamation at a tree planting ceremony to be
held at the Route 9 East “Welcome to Berkeley Springs” sign.
The proclamation will be read at noon on Thursday, April 20th. West
Virginia Division of Forestry personnel will be on hand to represent
The National Arbor Day Foundation. They will present Town officials
with signs designating the Town of Bath as a Tree City USA.
Also on the agenda is the planting of
a red bud tree by members of the Ecology Coalition of Morgan County
to kick off the upcoming third annual Red Bud Weekend to be held
21-23 April. The tree will be added to the landscape designed by
the Morgan County Master Gardeners with plants donated by the Foxglove
Garden Club.
In addition, a “Thank
You Oak” will be
presented to a Morgan county homeowner who planted the first tree
on the Morgan county tree planting initiative called ”A Time
to Plant Trees”.
The public is invited to attend.
